Steak & Fries

Today I thought it would be nice to make my dad a tasty sandwich. I made it special by toasting it and I melted the cheese. I also put a wedge of dill pickle on the side. I have no idea why I felt compelled to do this. I guess being nice doesn't hurt.

Anyway, so there was a soccer game dad was watching. (USA versus Netherlands) As per usual he was sporting his Chelsea gear (an English soccer team, if you didn't know already) and so was GUSTAV! Awwww. He's so cute.

Gustav mimics my dad by sporting the same gear and pretending to work.

So the menu tonight was some nice "Montreal Seasoned Round Eye Steak", steamed green beans and curly fries. Pretty American right here.

Fresh and easy. (Kind of like the store but they don't have those here I think...)

I pretty much just pan fried the steaks in good olive oil until they were done.

It was hot and I splashed some oil on the stove by accident. :(

I then popped some curly fries in the oven, green beans in the microwave, (you know, those steemers) and served it all up! Here is what it turned out like in the end:

Not too shabby for the first time preparing steak!

I enjoyed the meal. I especially enjoy vegetables and my steak was pretty rare. (I LOVE rare steak, no matter how bad people say it is.)

And that is that. Also, here is the view on the patio at night:

Ooh, pretty lights...
